on saturday we had our first post-wedding dinner. sea circus wanted to dress up for the occasion so we let her go to town with soft dreamy pastels, old school graph paper and brown paper packages tied up with string…
there were sparklers in vintage milk bottles and these stunning calla lillies [my new fave]…
the old scrabble tiles came out to play…
‘cheers to love’ drink stirrers written by jessica, pink ribbons cut by dewi, placename pictures stamped by josh, polaroid voucher made by charlie… and who ate all the mentos?
the secret mr & mrs locker was hiding two mysterious little brown envelopes addressed to mr and mrs and there was a voucher for the yummy sparkler cocktail
bombay sapphire bottles made friends with pretty pink roses and clipboards with graph paper menus told of the feast to come
guests sat down to a sharer feast of : vegetable tempura, crisp bacon wrapped prawns, salt & pepper squid, green beans, honey roasted pumpkin risotto, tomato tortilla, beetroot salad and shoe string fries - yummy!

the arrival of wedding season is so exciting it kinda makes me want to fill my mouth with vowels… and seeing this gorgeous wedding invitation with sea circus as part of the itinerary almost made me break into soooooong!
we love wedding parties. there is just so much joy and love and good stuff.
like the beautiful jerome and amelie’s pre-wedding dinner on tuesday. they introduced sea circus to possibly the greatest table game ever created. granted, it may have killed a couple of glass louvers in the process, but the ship game filled the room with so much glee that something had to break!
we can’t wait for more wedding parties to come and share the love. you rock our world.
we love photoshoots in sea circus. particularly wedding shoots. and especially wedding shoots with excess of props, bows and pink. yum. nara and fritz totally rocked the bathroom mirror shot… and the other bali shots too… check it out…

earlier this month we hosted wedding welcome drinks for the lovely rachel and luke, who sent out this awesome circus-themed invitation last year
no surprises then that the couple in question and their friends were all super creative. one of the gorgeous guests - briar from sunday collector - wrote the sweetest post about the circus that you can read over here

the crew were mostly from melbourne, so the drinks were mostly coffee-based
but we still found a use for mrs teapot…
the full english looked like a paint palette so i had to snap up the masterpiece
in between courses there was photography
