BALI

things you need to know before visiting bali
{or how not to become schapelle's new roommate}
BEFORE LEAVING FOR BALI
fly: air asia, garuda or jetstar from oz, check kayak.com from other locations
alcohol: is expensive here, so bring in some duty free at your departure airport {1ltr limit per person - charlie likes veuve, josh likes canadian club!}
drugs: indonesian customs surprisingly don't like illegal things strapped to the body or stashed in bodyboard bags - unless you want to spend some time with schapelle don't do it
ARRIVING IN BALI
you will get a visa on arrival {best to bring some usd for this}
30 day visa: $25USD
airport porters: don't let them take your bags - they will rip you off
taxis: cost between 50,000 and 100,000rph to get to seminyak
money changers: don't use the ones at the airport - they will rip you off - only use 'official money changers'
LEAVING BALI
exit visa: 150,000rph on leaving the country
remember: your departure card {unless you want to spend some time in the scary customs offices}
